Support for the Verdugo Hills Golf Course will be discussed.  The SMMC,
on a local level, has been very supportive of joining with local cities to
purchase the golf course.  But the larger organization has reservations,
so we need community members to attend and stress how important this
resource is to us, and that after all, 3/5 of the golf course is open hillside

Please come and add your voice to this important effort to save our
Verdugo Hills Golf Course!

July 9, 2007 - Crescenta Valley Heritage working session

6:30 PM

Do you live, work or own a business or property in Sunland-Tujunga,
far north Glendale, unincorporated La Crescenta or Montrose,
or La Canada – Flintridge?

Are you concerned about traffic congestion, crowded schools and libraries,
noise pollution, inadequate recreational facilities, loss of privacy/views due
to inappropriately large structures, increased crime and graffiti causing
a need for more neighborhood watch type activities, and our deteriorating
utilities infrastructure being overtaxed by over development?

Join us July 9th, 6:30 PM for a working session to discuss the formation of a
Greater Crescenta Valley Community or Neighborhood Association.

Bring your ideas and a willingness to collaborate!  Please come to share your thoughts.

At
Deukmejian Wilderness Park
(picnic area)
3429 Markridge Road
La Crescenta, CA 91214

June 25, 2007 - Crescenta Valley Heritage regular meeting

7PM

Join us to discuss the formation of a
Neighborhood or Community Association
for residents of unincorporated Montrose-La Crescenta and
the far north part of Glendale known as the annex.  Possibly also
including the portion of  La Canada-Flintridge served by the GUSD
and Sunland-Tujunga.

We believe the proposed and in-progress developments of
Canyon Hills, at the Verdugo Hills Golf Course property,
at Mountain Oaks, the Bonetto Meadows, and
on Park Place and Glenada Avenue, and many others affect us all.
If we gather together and pool our thoughts, resources, and energies
perhaps we can influence development in our various jurisdictions
to be more respectful of our architectural, cultural and
natural historic resources.  Please come to share your thoughts.

*** At the La Crescenta Church of Religious Science ***
at the intersection of Santa Carlotta and Dunsmore
